WEASLEY, CHARLIE
The second eldest of the Weasley children. Charlie was captain of Quidditch at Hogwarts, and was good enough to have played for England, but instead he went to work with dragons in Rumania. He took Norbert off Hagrid`s hands when he became too dangerous to keep.
WEASLEY, FRED AND GEORGE
The Weasley twins. They look so alike that even their own mother cannot tell them apart. The twins both play at Beater for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Renowned for their pranks and practical jokes, their exploits include enchanting snowballs so that they keep knocking Profesor Quirrell`s turban off and making Percy`s Head Boy badge read `Bighead Boy`. Despite this, they are very popular and do fairly well at their studies.
WEASLEY, GINNY
The youngest of the Weasley children and the only girl. Ginny is one year below Harry at Hogwarts and is also in Gryffindor House. She inadvertently opens the Chamber of Secrets when bewitched by T. M. Riddle, but is rescued from danger by Harry.
WEASLEY, MOLLY
The wife of Arthur Weasley. A kindhearted woman who gives Harry some of his first Christmas presents.
WEASLEY, PERCY
The third of the Weasley children. A prefect of Gryffindor House who is later made Head Boy. Although he is sometimes a bit pompous and self-important, he is still a good sort. He is an able student who gains top grades in his wizard exams and is set to work in the Ministry of Magic. Penelope Clearwater is his girlfriend.
WEASLEY, RON
Along with Hermione Granger, Ron is Harry`s best friend. The youngest of the Weasley boys, Ron doesn`t like the fact that he is expected to follow in the footsteps of his five brothers, who all did (or are doing) well at Hogwarts. Like all the Weasleys, Ron is a member of Gryffindor House. He is a tall, red-haired, gangly boy with freckles. He is skilled at wizard chess, a talent which comes in useful during the attempt to retrieve the Philosoper`s Stone. Ron is a keen follower of Quidditch. He supports the Chudley Cannons and is hoping to play on the Gryffindor team soon.
WEASLEYS' WIZARD WHEEZES
Charmed joke items that Fred and George Weasley have invented and want to sell.
WEIRD SISTERS
Band that plays at the Yule Ball, the Hogwarts school dance.
WENDELIN THE WEIRD
A medieval witch who enjoyed being burned at the stake so much that she submitted to this fate no fewer that 47 times.
Whomping Willow: A type of tree on the Hogwarts grounds that has the ability to attack with its branches.
WOOD, OLIVER
A member of Gryffindor House, captain of the Quidditch team. A large burly boy, he plays at Keeper.
WORMTAIL
The nickname of Peter Pettigrew while he was a student at Hogwarts.
Wronski Feint: Daring Quidditch move; on flying broomstick, a player goes into a fast, steep dive.
X Y
YOUKNOWWHO
A euphemism for Voldemort, used by those too scared to mention his real name.
YULE BALL

Z
ZABINI, BLAISE
A student at Hogwarts. A member of Slytherin House.
